The Challenge:

Douglas Emmett, one of the largest owners of "Class A" office buildings in Southern California, wanted a holiday gift for their more than 2,400 Los Angeles tenants. Like a Douglas Emmett building, the gift had to be synonymous with quality, style and functionality. The challenge was to identify a suitable product from a luxury manufacturer that met the budget guidelines of the project while still maintaining the highest quality.

The Solution:

Trims Unlimited has executed many successful custom pieces for corporate clients with Tumi Luggage. As "the leading international brand of luxury travel" (as noted by the New York Times) and with extensive overseas manufacturing capabilities, Trims knew that Tumi would be the best and most logical choice for the Douglas Emmett program.

The Result:

To stay within the desired budget, Trims Unlimited and Tumi collaborated in modifying a few features to create a quality bag at the desired cost. Once these slight modifications were made, the sport totes were ordered. Wrapped in Tumi tissue and placed in a branded gift bag, the packages were then hand-delivered to tenants throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area by Trims' fulfillment center.
